My name is Tarah and I am a therapist living and practicing in New Braunfels. I graduated with my M.A. in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marital, Couple, and Family Therapy from Texas State University. Before that, I graduated with my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Texas A&M. I am also a proud Sooner, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my son and husband, as well as spending time at the ranch. With three dogs and two cats in our household, it is never short of entertainment!
I have been working with children and families since 2016 and found success in working with children through play therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy. Additionally, through the use of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I aim to help couples grow closer.
In my opinion, therapy provides a nurturing environment to explore feelings and gain insight into interactions with others. Furthermore, I believe that counseling creates an opportunity for growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, and therapeutic relationship. However, the first small step to change is reaching out to someone who can help.
