My name is Tarah and I am a therapist living and practicing in New Braunfels. I graduated with my M.A. in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marital, Couple, and Family Therapy from Texas State University. Before that, I graduated with my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Texas A&M. I am also a proud Sooner, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and spending time at the ranch. With three dogs and two cats in our household, it is never short of entertainment!
I have been working with children and families since 2010, and found success in working with children through play therapy. Additionally, through the use of therapeutic techniques I aim to help families and couples grow closer.
In my opinion, therapy provides a nurturing environment to explore feelings and gain insight into interactions with others. Furthermore, I believe that counseling creates an opportunity for growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, and therapeutic relationship. However, the first small step to change is reaching out to someone who can help.
